We are pleased to announce the end of the photography competition, the winner of which is Mrs. Emilia Skorek<\/strong> from the Lublin branch! Emilia's competition entry, titled "Isolation," received the most votes from a jury composed of representatives of teams from various locations from which entries were submitted. The prize, a "Palaroid" instant camera (with a supply of cartridges), for the winner was funded by the Foundation We give wings!<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\nMrs. Emilia about herself:<\/span> <\/strong>My name is Emilia Skorek. I've been working at SuperDrob SA in the Lublin branch for 2.5 years as the chief planner.<\/em>\n

My passion for photography began with the purchase of a camera in 2011. Then came a basic photography course given to me by my sister, and then participation in a meeting of the Lublin Photographers Group, a student organization, which turned into six years of attending and learning from other group members, enthusiasts, amateurs, and professional photographers.<\/em><\/p>\n

All three photos are self-portraits taken without a helper in my apartment.<\/em>
\u201e"Isolation" was created by setting up a tripod with a camera on a balcony. The windowpane captures two images: a person confined to their home and the reflection of the outside world they miss during lockdown.<\/em>
\u201e"It's okay now." With this photo, I wanted to show the end of restrictions through the gesture of removing a mask and wearing bright red lipstick.<\/em>
\u201e"Quarantine" was created a year ago for a recurring competition for GFL members under the same title. My associations with quarantine are the lack of color, purity, emptiness, and loneliness. Hence the minimalist portrait with a glass of milk. Milk, a symbol of health, fills the center with white, creates a background, displaces color, and purifies the sterile space of quarantine.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n
