A special evening has passed. At Warsaw's Nove Kino Wisła cinema, we had the pleasure of attending the pre-premiere screening of the film "Mary: Mother of the Pope," directed by our friend Jan Sobierajski.
The film explores Karol Wojtyła's spiritual relationship with the Blessed Virgin Mary. It shows how this bond accompanied him throughout his life and pontificate. This perspective allows us to better understand the source of his strength, peace, and way of viewing the world.
The film also explores Marian apparitions, particularly those at Fatima, and their significance in both historical and contemporary contexts. The film is based on expert testimony, archival materials, and photographs from places significant to John Paul II, both in Poland and abroad.
We are delighted that, as a Foundation, we were able to support the film's creation and see it before its premiere. We thank the filmmakers for inviting us and congratulate the entire team for delivering a production of exceptional quality – both in terms of image and sound.
