The center provides constant care to several dozen children. The Salesians also run a primary and secondary school for hundreds of very poor students, for whom even the nominal tuition can be a barrier.
The Foundation's support enabled the purchase of food and the development of a local farm (including fry and feed), as well as the construction of a solar-powered cold store connected to the processing facilities. This allows for safe food storage, improved work organization, and the development of local production.
This is a real help not only for the center but also for the local community. The needs in Makululu remain very great.
