The STERNIK Association's schools, including the ŻAGLE school for boys, operate under a differentiated education model. This means that, from primary school onward, girls and boys attend separate schools.
This doesn't change the curriculum or educational goals. The approach is different, to better meet the developmental needs of girls and boys. At the same time, this approach doesn't limit their contact outside of school.
This solution has a significant impact on students' daily functioning. It facilitates communication, allows for better adaptation of teaching methods, and supports the educational process. It also helps build self-esteem and facilitate a more peaceful transition through adolescence.
The experience of differentiated education schools also shows that:
- girls are more likely to choose science subjects,
- boys are more likely to develop in humanities areas,
- students are less likely to compare themselves with each other,
- peer relationships are more stable,
- the level of peer violence is low.
This model of education also helps to break down stereotypes and build respect for others.
STERNIKA schools are part of an international community of diverse education. Since the 2024/2025 school year, ŻAGLE has been a member of the "Equal & Different" association, which facilitates the exchange of experiences and the development of this approach in various countries.
For the Uskrzydlamy Foundation, this is an important element of the ŻAGLE Campus project. By supporting its construction, we support not only the learning space but also a way of working with young people that combines education with parenting and collaboration with parents.
We believe that such an environment helps children develop peacefully, better understand themselves, and build good relationships with others.
