This year, 55 people came to Jastarnia – from Poland, Moldova, and Ukraine. Mostly families of LipCo Foods employees from Karczew, Łódź, Lublin, Stoczek, and Goleniów. For many, it was a welcome time to leave their everyday lives behind and enjoy each other. The week spent on the Hel Peninsula brought many smiles and shared memories – from sunbathing and strolling along the pier, through the cinema and amusement park, to a fishing boat cruise and a concert by the harbor.
We've been waiting for this week all year
There's something about Jastarnia that unites us. It's a unique place, eagerly awaited every year. Since Saturday (August 23rd), our families and residents have been experiencing their week-long respite from everyday life here. Unfortunately, the days are passing quickly, and the end is drawing near. Returning home tomorrow will be difficult, but today... today is still the week. We try to capture every moment and commit it to memory – straight from the beach, the cinema, the ship, the pier, or the forest paths. Here and now.
What's most important in all of this? It's not the "attractions" themselves, but what happens in between: conversations, childlike joy, support, laughter, and the atmosphere. It's this time—together—that is the heart of the project. Jastarnia for Families.
Meetings over a shared meal
This trip has nothing to do with luxury – and that's a blessing. The modest accommodations don't bother anyone, and they keep everyone from retreating to their own corner. We meet for shared meals in the dining room, chatting, and the children run around from morning till night. And the youngest – the bravest ones – volunteer to help during meals, taking turns and keeping things tidy. These are the little things that create a special atmosphere and demonstrate the importance of being around others and being open.
Moments full of laughter and emotion
There's no shortage of shared experiences here. So much happened in just a few days. We went to the "Żeglarz" cinema to see the beautiful, moving film "A Dog Who Ridden a Railway," and the children received free tickets as a gift. At the Alfa Rope Park, many participants overcame their fears and tested their skills at heights. At the 1881 Fisherman's Cottage Museum, we saw what life was like on the Baltic Sea in the past and touched upon the true history of this place.
There was also time for carefree fun at the Lunapark: carousels, Euro bungee, inflatables, a racetrack, distorting mirrors, and attractions for the elderly – laughter and excitement were shared by everyone. Families also went for a pizza together, and a boat cruise around the bay was a real pleasure – the view of Jastarnia from the water has something special about it. We often spent evenings walking – along the beach, the pier, or Jastarnia's charming streets. Ice cream and waffles added to the joy of these moments, and as we know, simple pleasures are also memorable.
An extraordinary place
We can't help but mention the Hel Peninsula – a unique place. A narrow strip of land, surrounded on two sides by water, makes nature truly enchanting. Just a few steps take you from a quiet bay to the open sea. For us, it's a place that allows us to breathe deeply, as a walk here gives us a sense of space and true proximity to the sea. During the sunny moments, we managed to spend some time at the beach – the kids played in the sand, built mudflats, and buried themselves, while the adults could simply relax.
An evening full of emotion
One of the magical moments was the concert "It's Good That You're Here – A Concert of Gratitude, Ending Summer 2025," which took place at the fishing port in Jastarnia. Performers included Małgorzata Szarek, Rafał Brzozowski, Marek Piekarczyk, Joanna Kondrat, and Janusz Szrom. We heard well-known songs—ones that evoke memories—and it was moving and beautiful.
Friends from Ukraine
This year, we also have children from an orphanage in Ukraine with us. Their presence has brought even more energy and joy to our group. A holiday like this—full of laughter, carefreeness, and shared moments—is something all children should have.

Although we'll soon be packing our bags and heading home, we're still enjoying every moment we have left. This trip is more than just a vacation for everyone—it's a truly uplifting time. The joy, memories, and energy that remain in our hearts will last us all year long. We're already saying: see you in Jastarnia next year! 😊
