Expansion of the school in Kithatu, Kenya

Every child has the right to education regardless of residence, religion, or background. Unfortunately, in Kenya, this right is often theoretical. The state is obligated to guarantee children access to free educational institutions, but parents or guardians must pay various fees, including semester fees and meals. If fees are not paid, children cannot attend classes. Furthermore, there are the costs of uniforms, textbooks, and school supplies. Therefore, many families living in extreme poverty cannot afford to send their children to school.

Together with the Philanthropic Consortium, we are in the process of expanding a school in Kithatu, Kenya. Over 380 children attend, and in addition to education, they also receive hot meals there. The school is run by the Missionary Sisters of the Holy Family, who have been in Africa for over 30 years and are intimately familiar with the realities of children's lives in this part of the world. Unfortunately, the migration crisis is growing. We are convinced that if Kenyan children are educated, they will be a tremendous support to their families and communities in the future, and will certainly contribute to the development of the local economy and their homeland.

Our project includes the construction of a classroom, the expansion and furnishing of the facilities and library, the construction of additional toilets, and the expansion of the farm.

Our foundation's heart is in solidarity with all those in need and open to those who are, yes, far away, but sometimes are much more in need than those we support in Poland.
