We are delighted to announce the completion of the "Water for Africa" project, implemented in cooperation with LipCo Foods i Samaritanka Foundation. Thanks to the joint efforts and commitment of many people, 20 wells were built in Chad, providing access to clean water for thousands of Chadians. These include towns such as Bermoussa, Mailao, Pont Carol, Bagasola, Digo, Mogoye, Badje, Bongor, Siaba, and others. This is an extremely important step in combating the water shortage that complicates the lives of people in Africa every day.
Clean water – a gift that changes everyday life
The "Water for Africa" project was created with those for whom access to clean water was previously a luxury in mind. In many regions of Chad, especially rural areas, residents must travel kilometers to find water, often drawing it from contaminated sources. This results not only in difficulties in daily life but, above all, in disease. The construction of 20 wells is not only a simplification, but a true revolution – for the health, hygiene, and future of entire communities.
The invaluable role of Father Stanisław Worwa
This success would not have been possible without Father Stanisław Worwa, who played a key role in the project's implementation. A missionary from the Tarnów Diocese, he had been working in Chad for years as the parish priest of the Holy Family Parish in N'Djamena. His determination, knowledge of local realities, and constant willingness to help made the "Water for Africa" project a reality.
Symbolic completion of the project
The project was completed on March 21st, the first day of spring, symbolizing the renewal of life. A new beginning for many communities in Chad. The following day (March 22nd) marked World Water Day, further underscoring the importance of this initiative. For the people of Chad, clean water is more than just a convenience—it's a gift that forever changes their daily lives.
Long-term impact – health and the future
Each well is a step towards a better life. Access to clean water means:
- Reduced risk of disease – elimination of infections caused by contaminated water.
- Improving sanitary conditions – crucial for the health of children and adults.
- Making everyday life easier – women and children no longer have to travel long kilometers in search of water.
- Development of local communities – women and men can focus on working and cultivating the land, instead of struggling to survive.
The power of cooperation
Looking at how much has been achieved, we feel immense joy and pride. Each well is not just a structure, but a symbol of hope and new life for the people of Chad. This joint effort demonstrates that together we can truly change the world.
