The Foundation's charges at a summer camp at the ZOO

Find us on:

As part of their partnership with the Warsaw Zoo Development Foundation "PANDA," three of our young charges participated in the "Around the World in Five Days" day camp at the Zoo. The children embarked on a five-day adventure, exploring the fascinating world of animals. Each day, they embarked on a long "journey" to a different continent, meeting diverse animal species. They learned many interesting facts about them and gained a substantial amount of knowledge. Another highlight was the drumming workshop led by Ricky Lion from Congo. The children had the opportunity to learn to play African instruments and sing local songs. This engaging activity fostered their cognitive interests and opened them up to cultural diversity. Their vacation at the Zoo was a joyful and emotional time.

Below are photos from the summer camp ⬇😉.

We asked three mothers of summer camp participants to share their children's impressions in a few words:

The day camp was fantastic! The children were delighted with the variety of information, activities, experiences, and attractions. After spending all day outside and walking several kilometers a day, the children "dropped like flies" and slept soundly. The sight of a hippo cozying up to its keeper, pelicans lunging for food, or the morning roar of a lion are invaluable. My Tomek will definitely remember this day camp for the rest of his life.

Thank you (together with my son) for organizing the summer camp. Janek is delighted; the attractions, the opportunity to visit places otherwise inaccessible to visitors, and the delicious food were a 10 out of 11.

My son isn't very keen on telling stories, but what he does tell is enjoyable. He's tired and smiling. I don't remember him being asleep by 8 p.m. I consider our first challenge of this kind a success 😊 Thank you for this opportunity.
