Dad – it's good that you're here

Fatherhood doesn't begin in an instant. Sometimes it matures slowly—with responsibility, care, and daily life—and doesn't end when a child grows up, but rather lasts a lifetime. Over time, the language of care, the form of presence, and daily tasks change—but what's most important doesn't disappear: the role a father plays in his child's life. Regardless of age. Being there—through joys and hardships, through conversations and silences, through closeness and support—is always crucial.

At the Uskrzydlamy Foundation, we encounter many stories. Sometimes difficult, sometimes warm, often complicated—like life itself. And although there are no men on our team, they are all around us. In the families we support, among the Foundation's friends, and in the activities we implement. They are fathers of toddlers, fathers of teenagers and adult children. They are grandparents, friends, and volunteers. Their presence—so calm, so reliable—is truly meaningful and provides a sense of security.

They help, they drive, they ask questions, they offer advice, they take action, and they're there for us during events. Their commitment isn't driven by a need for recognition, but by a desire to be there for others. They're simply good people. And it's thanks to such gestures, small but significant, that we can achieve more.

Fatherhood doesn't require perfection, and a dad doesn't have to be perfect. No one expects it. Just being there is enough – with care, attention, to the best of your ability. Put in the effort every day, even if things don't work out. Build trust that lasts – not through declarations, but through actions. It's from this daily effort that what matters most is born.

On the occasion of Father's Day, we want to say to all you dads – thank you.

For your presence and the time you are able to offer despite your many responsibilities.

Gestures that mean more than they say.

The support, encouragement and strength you share with others.

Understanding and patience, which does not always come easily.

And for love that often does not need words.

We also thank those who are with us – in our actions, simply present. Not because they have to, but because they want to. For being there. For what you give to your children and the world.

We wish you peace of mind, strength, and satisfaction in the role you fulfill—in your own, best way. May your presence bring your children a sense of security, and yourselves pride and purpose. May your relationships with loved ones bring you joy, and may the world feel a little gratitude for what you do.

We wish you to feel needed and appreciated – because that is exactly what you are.

With gratitude, the Uskrzydlamy Foundation Team
