The Uskrzydlamy Social Development Foundation had the pleasure of visiting an extraordinary place – Klubokawiarnia Butterfly Circus in Piastów. This isn't your average café—it's a space where true miracles happen. Its philosophy departs from the standard business model. There's no price list or set fees. Everyone pays what they can, and if they can't, they get their order for free. This is a place open to everyone, where community, solidarity, and mutual support are paramount.
A club-café where people count
The Butterfly Circus is a unique initiative that reminds us that help and empathy are more important than money. The café operates on the principle of trust and voluntary donations. Those who can afford a larger donation help ensure that others, even those without money, can enjoy a coffee, a cake, or a warm meal. This approach builds a community that is open, welcoming, and ready to help.
The place is especially welcoming to children and young people, who can spend time here in a safe and inspiring environment. Various workshops, meetings, and activities are organized to develop creativity and build social bonds. Support for the Foundation – a new toaster for preparing meals
The Uskrzydlamy Foundation, appreciating the mission and unique character of Klubokawiarnia, decided to support this place in a practical way. We financed the purchase of a double-chamber, fat-free toaster oven, which allows for efficient reheating and preparation of food. This equipment is highly functional – it allows for the quick preparation of a variety of meals without the need for fat, which is both convenient and healthy.
Of course, every new appliance requires testing! To test the toaster's performance, we brought our company's chicken nuggets and frozen fries for our first test run. As it turned out, there was no shortage of people willing to try them! 😊
